Most of what makes a mobile app work is not on the phone: the API, authentication, push delivery, payments and offline synchronization. That backend is our core work, and we build the client on top of it with React Native and Expo, or as a progressive web app when a store listing is not the point. Our hybrid experience is older, an Ionic and Cordova app for a real-time retail monitoring product, so we say plainly that the current stack is React Native and PWA. We do not write native Swift or Kotlin.

No. We build with React Native, Expo or as a progressive web app. Swift, Kotlin, SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose are not our stack, and a product that truly needs them deserves someone who lives there.

It depends on distribution. Store presence, device features or heavy offline use argue for an app. A tool people reach from a link is usually faster to ship and simpler to update as a PWA.
